Felicity Cave Villas are four villas built into the quiet hillside of Mesa Gonia — from the stone of the very mountain they stand on — among some of the oldest vineyards on Santorini. Each has a private pool, an underwater "submarine" window, and a 100 m² terrace looking out over the Aegean, the mountains, and villages scattered across the hilltops. You're a 5-minute drive from Kamari's volcanic black-sand beach and 11 minutes from the airport — close to everything, wrapped in stillness.

You're in the heart of Mesa Gonia, Santorini's old wine country, where three of the island's most celebrated cellars sit a short stroll from your door — Argyros Estate, founded in 1903, the island's largest private vineyard owner, its Assyrtiko exported worldwide; Canava Roussos, the oldest cellar on the island, dating to 1836; and Artemis Karamolegos, whose acclaimed restaurant, Aroma Avlis, draws guests for long lunches over the vines.
Our favourite walk is right outside. A 4 km trail runs right past the villas, following our family's ancestral path — past the little chapel of Saint George, built by our great-grandfather and perched on the mountainside, and the very quarry our villas' stone was cut from — up to the picturesque hilltop village of Pyrgos, with the 567 m summit of Profitis Ilias and its 360° island views beyond.

Each villa has a private pool with an underwater "submarine" window set into the lower level. Daylight filters through the water in shifting blue patterns, and a cinema projector beside the window turns it into a private underwater cinema after dark.

Yes — the Deluxe Cave Villa sleeps up to 4 (5 with a child). On the main level, the double sofa bed sits in the open-plan living space, an easy choice for younger children close to you. Older children often prefer the two single beds on the level below, which has its own room and more privacy. This downstairs cinema room is a favourite with younger guests, the hillside setting is quiet, and each villa's pool is private.
